Pro Wrestling Coming Back To La Sierra
'Sacramania' is fundraiser for Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento.
Professional wrestling will come back to Carmichael on Friday when the Sacramento Wrestling Federation hosts a one-year anniversary benefit show.
"Sacramania" will see six matches over two hours starting at 7 p.m. at the La Sierra Community Center. The main event is the SWF Heavywight Championship with three wrestlers: Dylan Drake, "The Mexican Werewolf" El Chupacabra and Sheik Khan Abadi.
The SWF previously held "September 2 Remember" last year at La Sierra.
"This is one of the more special events," Josh Edlow, the SWF's owner and operator, said of Sacramania. "I can't belive it'a already been a year."
Proceeds benefit the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento.
"It's a great organization," Edlow said. "Groups like them get donations around the holidays but not right after."
The SWF has grown in the past 12 months and has even been invited to events outside the Sacramento area, he said.
"Carmichael is where I live and I went to Del Campo (High School)," Edlow said. "It's great to come back and see the support from the community."
