Readers Win Cutest Couple, Football Contests

Carmichael residents win Valentine's Day, Super Bowl contests.

Three Carmichael Patch readers recently commented on the site or emailed me and won Patch goodies for their efforts.

Robert and Julianna Frisk were named "Carmichael's Cutest Couple" in our contest. They won a $25 gift certificate to Pasquale's Italian Pizzeria and Patch goodies including t-shirts and a snuggie.

"That's awesome!", Julianna Frisk wrote in an email when she was notified that she and Robert, who met in December 2008 and have lived in Carmichael since 2010, had won the online reader vote.

The Frisks both work for the California Department of Water Resources. Robert, a Rio Americano High School graduate, is a staff service analyst. Julianna, who attended the since-closed Loretto High School on El Camino Avenue, is an associate government program analyst.

In their free time, the couple said they enjoy running around Ancil Hoffman Park and playing basketball at Ashton Park.

"(Robert) grew up in the area and I came to the park and thought I would like to live here someday and now I am," Julianna Frisk said.

Carmichael resident Andrew Gayner correctly guessed that New York would beat New England in the Super Bowl and was closest to the final score, winning him Patch goodies, including a snuggie.

"I read (Carmichael) Patch every morning," said Gayner, who owns a film production company called Nose Media.

He lives in Carmichael with his wife Denice and their sons Patrick, 5, and Logan.
