Every college football fan dreams of their team winning the national championship.
Each school is unique in itself whether it is a rich tradition, special players
or coach, or maybe that dream season that no fan will forget. I was born in a
"Crimson Tide family", and was given a decision when I was a child. I
either pulled for Alabama or slept outside with the dogs.
Just kidding...but seriously. In 2009, when Alabama won the grand prize I was able to see the game in person at the Rose Bowl. It truly was a dream come true, and something I am extremely grateful for.
Now being at Alabama as a student is absolutely incredible. Whether it is the hype all week for a game, or the "Quad" on game day Saturdays, being at Alabama this season was something I will always remember.
Being such an extreme college football fan, I am proud to be here at such a special time and place. I am elated for the University of Alabama, and most certainly the football team as they won their 14th national championship.
The constant reminder of the April storms, and the motivation to win the championship for the town of Tuscaloosa brings major signs of hope, and shows people that with hard work, bouncing back from adversity is possible. It makes me happy to be an official part of the Crimson Tide.
As for the campus, well it is electric! All around the campus (and town) is the number "14" and the words "national champions". And as I look out the window of my old, cramped dorm room, to see the atmosphere, I smile and say "Roll Tide
y'all!"

It's awesome that you were able to be there to see your school win a national championship. I have a lot of relatives in Alabama and I know they were excited about it.
How does the atmosphere around the sports at Alabama compare to what it was like at Jesuit?

Thanks Corbin for sharing your experiences being in Alabama. I'll second Cody's question: How does the atmosphere around the sports at Alabama compare to what it was like at Jesuit? Roll Tide.

At Jesuit the competitiveness was a really neat atmosphere, and Alabama really matches that. Being involved in the baseball and basketball program at Jesuit allowed me to see Jesuit sports in two unique ways. One sport being calm and completely strategic, and the other being loud and hyped. At Alabama the sports are just the same. Football is religion down here, but with some other sports (basketball, softball, gymnastics, etc...) on the rise, people are really proud of the sports here.
As for the tradition of "winning" at both campuses...well I love that! Both campuses pride themselves about wanting to win, but also doing it with class. I really respect and appreciate both atmospheres being humble in their ways.
Go Big Red! Roll Tide!
